Really good start to the week, saw Chris Difford live at a local cafe.  For those not in the know, he was one half of the duo who wrote the songs for Squeeze (eg. Up the Junction, Cool for Cats).  Tremendous little gig, less than a hundred people there and Chris seemed to be really enjoying himself.  For his thoughts on the evening look at

Quiet week at work for a change except the Deputy Head’s proposals for merging the History department with Geography, RE and Citizenship, a proposal I am very much opposed to so I’ve been drafting my reply.  I suppose I’ll lose the argument – win some lose some.  Thursday night will be rugby training, big game at the weekend, away at Southam.  If we don’t win we are probably relegated so the pressure is on. 

Biggest news of the week though is that I spent a day learning how to blog and podcast so I am now officially in the 21st century.

This is my first ever blog.  Quite exciting eh?  I’m sat in a hotel conference room with several other first time bloggers, I don’t know if they are more or less excited about this than me, but I’m pretty exicted about it.  So, feel free to blog with me.  It’s a big world out there, get in touch…
